This event originally started as an idea for a birthday party because these past few years have been rough and my mental health got pretty bad. COVID started it all and absolutely messed up social lives! Since it had been such a rough year I figured, why not, let’s have some fun! As things were coming together and after attending some concerts this year and meeting some amazing people, I realized this event needed to be much more than just for me and the few people I know!

When I moved to the area, I really didn’t know anyone at all and had a little rough time making friends due to work and the COVID shutdown. Unfortunately, I am not the only one who has gone through this! So it hit me that in reality, events like this are needed.

​

 As a result, I created an event for the LGBTQ+ Community & Allies! This is a social/concert event so that those within the community can meet each other, make friends, hang out, dance, sing, socialize, and overall have a great time together with some amazing music!

 

This is the first year that this event is taking place, but it won't be the last!

 

My overall goal for this event is to create a safe environment for the LGBTQ+ community to meet each other and have a good time bonding through one thing most people love, LIVE MUSIC.

A lot of time and effort has been put into planning this unforgettable event. LK's Pride Jam & Social is a unique opportunity to take a break from your daily routine and experience something new with some awesome people.
